Sign settings
Sign type, size, background, emissive, parallax and the arrow material.
These apply to the whole sign rather than one element. They live at the bottom of the right-hand inspector and stay available even while an element is selected.
The sign size decides the pixel canvas the mod renders, from 256×256 up to
2500×200. It is the first thing you pick, and everything else stays locked
until you do.
Sign type
Section titled “Sign type”A flat, lit sign. This is the default and the one that supports the parallax and arrow materials below.
Renders translucent, with scanlines across the whole face. It adds its own controls:
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Distortion intensity | How much the image wobbles. |
| Scanline intensity | How hard the scanlines read. |
| Border intensity | The glow around the sign’s edge. |
| Use scanlines | Turns the lines off while keeping the glow. |
Material
Section titled “Material”| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Background color | The sign’s base colour. Also tints the parallax grid and the arrow material. |
| Emissive intensity | How brightly the sign glows. Higher is brighter. |
| Panner speed X / Y | Scrolls the whole sign’s material. Negative values scroll the other way. |
Parallax & arrows
Section titled “Parallax & arrows”Two extra materials, available on Normal signs only.
Parallax
Section titled “Parallax”Draws a receding depth grid behind your elements, speckled with small readouts that tick over as you watch. Tinted by the background colour.
Arrow material
Section titled “Arrow material”Fills the sign with large scrolling chevrons, tinted by the background colour, with its own direction and speed.
Parallax / arrow scale X and Y size the grid cells and the chevron
bands. -1 means “use the mod’s own default ratio”, not a scale of one.
