Saving & sharing
Drafts, share links, previews, and JSON export and import.
Saving
Section titled “Saving”Save is at the end of the action bar. A tick beside it means everything is stored; it disappears the moment you change something.
Free accounts can keep 20 designs. Patreon supporters have no limit.
Unsaved drafts
Section titled “Unsaved drafts”Your work in progress is kept in this browser as you go. Reload the page, or come back after a crash, and the editor restores what you had rather than the last saved version.
When that happens you get an Unsaved draft badge in the action bar. Next to it is a discard button that throws the draft away and reloads the saved design.
Public designs and sharing
Section titled “Public designs and sharing”The Public / Private toggle in the left panel decides who can open your design.
- Private only you.
- Public anyone with the link can open a read-only preview.
Once a public design is saved, two buttons appear in the action bar: one copies the share link, the other opens the preview page yourself. The preview is read-only, works on phones, and lets visitors search the sign’s elements.
Export and import
Section titled “Export and import”Export shows the design as JSON, ready to copy to the clipboard or download as a file.
Import takes the same JSON back, either pasted in or dropped in as a .json
file.
-
Click Import in the action bar.
-
Paste the JSON, or drop a
.jsonfile onto the upload area. -
The design is validated before anything is replaced if it does not match the sign schema, you get the errors and your current design is left alone.
