Module tools
Generate content, analyze packs, and review project-wide changes with bundled tools.
Open Module tools with a project selected. Choose a tab, inspect its diagnostics, and review the exact preview before applying a write plan. Tabs whose provider is disabled or whose requirements are unavailable show that state; enable them in Built-in Modules. Generated or modified files belong to the project and are checked again by the host before saving. Some analyses need a complete saved-YAML scan or bound reflection archive.
Affected elements is also available as a bundled tool. It resolves the current YAML entry against bound game data and displays matching classes/assets with exported icons. See the refinery example.
Create and edit content
Section titled “Create and edit content”| Tab | What it does |
|---|---|
| Wizard | Guided drafts for a content chain, item, building descriptor, recipe, schematic unlock, research tree, image asset, data asset, curve, Sink points, resource-node removal, CDO patch, or localization entry. Preview generated files before applying. |
| Recipe graph | Trace recipe inputs, outputs, producers, unlocks, and affected YAML, then preview direct edits from the selected node. |
| Unlock graph | Trace schematic, M.A.M., recipe, and dependency links as a flow chart and preview safe YAML edits. |
| Game phases | Build class-aware game-phase CDO edits from reflected phase and item records. If a bound datapack has no game-phase asset index, paste an exact phase object path and enter costs manually. |
| Research tree | Inspect research nodes and links, then preview creation or edits of research YAML. |
| KAPI builders | Generate KAPI data-asset documents using compatible reflected classes and properties. |
| Delivery Tree | Edit KAPI delivery-task data assets and inspect their graph. Disabled by default; requires KAPI/KPrivateCodeLib data and explicit review for identity changes. |
Choose an output path inside the intended pack. Review generated IDs, class paths, and unlock
references before applying. The wizard’s resource-node-removal rule can affect saved worlds;
test that rule on a backed-up save. For YAML examples independent of the app, see
End-to-End Pack.
Inspect and repair
Section titled “Inspect and repair”| Tab | What it does |
|---|---|
| Balance audit | Finds progression, cost, and reachability issues in saved project content. |
| Impact preview | Shows direct and downstream effects of a selected graph change without editing files. |
| Production simulator | Estimates production tree, machine totals, required inputs, and byproducts from known recipes. |
| Assets & icons | Finds missing, unsafe, duplicate, or orphaned project asset references. |
| Asset instances | Loads indexes/assets.json from bound effective .kdfdata (up to 8 MiB), then searches exact object paths by type, mod, and use case. Missing, oversized, invalid, or partial indexes stay visible; manual paths remain unverified. |
| Compatibility | Compares pack requirements with selected mod profiles and explains each affected cell. |
| Effective runtime | Simulates pack dependency order, handler stages, includes, conditions, effective CDO writes, and conflicts for loaded SMM profiles. Without a profile, mod-dependent outcomes remain unknown. |
| Progression integrity | Runs bounded fixed-point reachability over items, recipes, schematics, research, and game-phase costs. Reports witness paths, blocker chains, seedless cycles, and unknown external evidence. |
| Delivery runtime | Simulates KAPI delivery eligibility, parent thresholds, queues, completions, endless tasks, and cross-pack coordinate conflicts without mutating runtime state. |
| Dead content | Flags definitely unused content when evidence is complete; deletion-plan preview is off by default and never deletes files. |
| Dependencies | Explains pack dependency issues and previews safe manifest repairs. |
| Changelog | Compares project changes and exports a generated Markdown changelog. |
These analyses keep incomplete scans and missing reflection data visible. Treat a limited result as an open question; it must not justify deletion or a compatibility claim.
Rename and release preparation
Section titled “Rename and release preparation”Migration previews generated-ID and project-reference changes across files. Naming policy offers a configurable refactor for selected generated IDs, then shows per-file diffs before applying. Both write through reviewed, hash-guarded project changes. Keep pack ref stable when renaming generated content; a generated-ID redirect cannot repair a pack-ref change.
Ficsit.app inspects local release metadata, dependencies, logo, changelog, compatibility,
.uplugin, and package contents. It can turn a pack into a mod-shaped release layout, preview
local metadata changes, preview the native ZIP inventory, check a remote mod, and upload through
the ficsit.app API when a session API key is configured. Tokens stay in native session memory.
Create, page update, and release upload each require their own typed confirmation; see
Operations and releases.
Ficsit remote diff compares credential-free local release state with a typed remote snapshot
and advises dependency ranges. Missing descriptions, logo hashes, installed versions, or remote
fields remain unknown; review plans never write or upload. Release Gate correlates local
metadata, lint/build evidence, disclosures, compatibility, and a revision-bound native package
preview. Missing or stale evidence blocks a ready result. Both modules are disabled by default.
For bundled features and enable switches, see Built-in modules.
